We went geocaching and exploring around Ft. Fisher this weekend. Found 4/6 caches, so that's good. :)
I went to Mexico back in 2006, so I thought I would add some of those on here.
If you ever get to go to Cancún, I highly suggest Blue Bay. It's affordable, all-inclusive and owned by an American. Thus, you can drink the water inside the resort, because they have a huge water filtration system. (you sure don't want to meet Mr. Montezuma). Anyway, it was a great trip and there were many friendly Canadians and Europeans in the resort. The staff spoke English (which made my mom happy, since she doesn't know Spanish), so no worries about that.
My favorite part? Breakfast! (El desayuno; Frühstück!) They made these fan-freakin'-tastic plaintains. And there were like 10 different kinds of juices, one of which was banana and amazing. And then there were the pancakes with coconut syrup.
Drinks were included. Two words: piña colada.

We stumbled upon this really cool little park while driving around Carolina Beach. It's called Snow's Cut State Park. I plan to go back and take better pictures. These were impromptu, taken with a cell phone.
Every year at the Azalea Festival, this pirate ship docks on the Riverfront for tours. I can't remember the name of the religious group, but they live and work on this ship. I highly suggest checking it out.
